Compliance Manager – Monaco

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Compliance Manager to lead our Compliance Monitoring Programme (CMP) in Monaco. You will design, implement and continuously improve monitoring, testing and technology‑enabled controls across conduct, financial crime, governance and control frameworks.

Key responsibilities

• Design and operate a robust CMP, including thematic and risk‑based reviews.
• Assess control design and effectiveness, track remediation actions and develop KPIs/KRIs.
• Support implementation, calibration and optimisation of monitoring tools such as transaction monitoring, market abuse surveillance and blockchain analytics.
• Translate regulatory requirements into practical controls, system rules and parameter settings.
• Challenge vendor methodologies and ensure transparency of automated controls.
• Drive process re‑engineering, automation and documentation improvements.
• Produce clear risk assessments, gap analyses and senior‑management reporting.

Required profile

• 8–10 years of compliance experience in financial services, preferably asset management, crypto or investment firms.
• Hands‑on expertise in compliance monitoring and testing.
• Strong knowledge of European regulatory frameworks; multi‑jurisdiction exposure is a plus.
• Experience with AML/CTF and conduct risk controls is advantageous.
• Ability to move from policy to execution and act as a constructive challenger.
