About the role
Mercor is seeking an Investment Researcher to work remotely on a contract basis. You will support AI research labs by applying hedge‑fund expertise to improve AI‑generated financial content.
Key responsibilities
- Evaluate long/short equity hedge‑fund strategies to enhance AI model training.
- Develop and review financial models that feed AI‑generated financial outputs.
- Conduct market sizing and total addressable market (TAM) analyses for AI research teams.
- Analyze investment research, summaries, and memos to assess AI model performance.
- Predict and analyze earnings results to refine AI model outputs.
- Work independently and asynchronously, meeting deadlines and improving model performance.
Required profile
- Minimum 2 years of experience at top hedge funds.
- Experience in financial modeling, market sizing/TAM analysis, or investment research.
- Availability to start in October.
- Commitment of 10+ hours per week for at least four weeks.
