Financial Crime Risk Manager

About the role

Barclays is looking for a Financial Crime Risk Manager to join its Risk Controls function in Monaco. The role supports the front office with risk‑related needs, ensures alignment with the bank’s risk framework, and helps safeguard operational, financial and reputational integrity.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for front‑office teams on financial crime risks and controls.
• Lead or contribute to group‑wide financial crime risk control projects.
• Assist in responding to regulatory bodies and inspections.
• Participate in the development and enhancement of governance frameworks.
• Collaborate with compliance, legal, audit and senior stakeholders to manage financial crime risk.
• Provide subject‑matter expertise on AML, CTF, sanctions and related matters.
• Support integration of group risk controls and policy implementation.
• Help embed a strong risk culture by aligning business needs with compliance standards.

Required profile

• Strong track record in financial crime (AML, sanctions, fraud, CTF) within financial services.
• Understanding of enterprise risk frameworks, governance and risk‑control implementation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in both French and English.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities and drive initiatives with minimal oversight.
