Senior Data Scientist – AI & Machine Learning

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join the Data & Information Management team of a major international company operating in a complex industrial environment. The objective is to design, build and industrialise high‑impact Data Science and AI solutions, from business needs definition through to production deployment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop end‑to‑end Machine Learning / Deep Learning solutions, covering data preparation, modelling, validation, deployment and lifecycle management.
• Contribute to Generative AI use cases involving LLMs, Retrieval‑Augmented Generation, document intelligence, copilots and AI agents.
• Work on advanced use cases such as Computer Vision, document processing, time‑series forecasting and anomaly detection.
• Ensure robustness and production readiness through MLOps, CI/CD, Git and model‑monitoring best practices.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers, Data Architects, BI teams and business stakeholders to translate complex challenges into scalable AI solutions.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in Data Science / Machine Learning.
• Strong expertise in Python, statistics, Machine Learning and predictive modelling.
• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure, ideally Azure ML and Microsoft Foundry.
• Proven experience in Generative AI: LLMs, RAG and prompt engineering.
• Good understanding of MLOps and production‑grade ML workflows.
• Experience in Computer Vision and/or document processing is a strong asset.
• Background in a complex industrial environment.
• Fluent English.
