Rotating Equipment Principal Engineer

About the role

The Principal Engineer will lead projects that improve operational efficiency, safety and sustainability within the oil & gas sector. This fixed‑term position replaces a long‑term sick leave and runs until December 2026.

Key responsibilities

• Develop safe, high‑quality technical solutions for rotating equipment projects without supervision.
• Resolve complex technical issues to meet project and discipline deliverables.
• Share knowledge across regional centres and mentor junior engineers.
• Collaborate with Discipline Managers, Leads and engineering staff to drive continuous improvement.
• Stay updated on industry developments, capture lessons learned, and apply best practices.
• Potentially act as Discipline Lead, Technical Expert or Engineering Method Authority for assigned scopes.

Required profile

• Engineering diploma in a relevant discipline.
• More than 15 years of experience in oil & gas, covering concept development, detailed design, systems engineering, inspection, testing, commissioning, monitoring, package engineering, manufacturing, reliability, operability and safety.
• Structured, pragmatic, solution‑oriented mindset with strong communication skills.
