Investment Researcher – Remote Contract

About the role

Mercor is seeking an Investment Researcher to work remotely on a contract basis. You will support AI research labs by applying hedge‑fund expertise to improve AI‑generated financial content.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate long/short equity hedge‑fund strategies to enhance AI model training.
• Develop and review financial models that feed AI‑generated financial outputs.
• Conduct market sizing and total addressable market (TAM) analyses for AI research teams.
• Analyze investment research, summaries, and memos to assess AI model performance.
• Predict and analyze earnings results to refine AI model outputs.
• Work independently and asynchronously, meeting deadlines and improving model performance.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience at top hedge funds.
• Experience in financial modeling, market sizing/TAM analysis, or investment research.
• Availability to start in October.
• Commitment of 10+ hours per week for at least four weeks.
