IT Project Management Lead

About the role

As the IT Project Management Lead at SBM Offshore, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating and delivering a portfolio of IT projects that support the company’s deepwater offshore energy solutions. You will ensure projects are completed on time, within scope and aligned with business objectives while driving continuous improvement in project management practices.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the focal point for the Portfolio Manager, maintaining full visibility over the project portfolio.
• Lead and manage a team of project managers, aligning project execution with organizational goals and capacity.
• Develop and enforce consistent project management methodologies across all IT initiatives.
• Coordinate with cross‑functional teams, business stakeholders and external vendors to meet milestones and budgets.
• Monitor progress, manage risks, and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Provide regular status updates to senior management and ensure transparency.
• Mentor and coach project engineers and managers to enhance planning and risk‑management skills.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement and ensure regulatory and policy compliance throughout project lifecycles.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Business Administration or a related field.
• Relevant certifications such as PMP, ITIL or PRINCE2 are preferred.
• Strong command of English for effective communication.
