Senior Data Scientist

About the role

As a Senior Data Scientist you will design and deliver data‑driven and AI‑powered solutions for SBM Offshore’s Data and Information Management Team. You will work with cross‑functional partners to turn complex operational challenges into scalable analytics, machine‑learning and generative‑AI applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, industrialise and maintain end‑to‑end data science and AI solutions using Azure‑based data and AI technologies.
• Build and evaluate advanced analytical models, including statistical methods, machine learning, deep learning, computer vision and large‑scale document processing pipelines.
• Contribute to Generative AI initiatives such as LLM‑based solutions, document intelligence, copilots and automation agents while respecting enterprise AI governance, security and compliance.
• Ensure production readiness through performance assessment, robustness checks and MLOps best practices.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to clarify business needs, define success criteria and translate use cases into deployable analytics solutions.
• Produce clear reports and technical documentation for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Work in an agile environment using Azure DevOps, Git and cloud‑native services.

Required profile

• Master's or Engineering degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics or a related quantitative field.
• Solid academic background in mathematics, statistics, machine learning and software engineering.
• Fluent spoken and written English.
• At least 5 years of experience as a Data Scientist or in a similar role.
