Director of AI Acquisitions & Talent Strategy

About the role

We are seeking a Director to lead the acquisition of AI and robotics companies that will transform our construction operations. This senior position combines strategic M&A with talent development to embed cutting‑edge technology into our heritage asset portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate and acquire AI/robotics firms with direct applications to construction, such as autonomous machinery, computer‑vision site monitoring, generative design, materials intelligence, structural analysis and workforce automation.
• Lead the full acquisition cycle from screening and due diligence through negotiation and closing.
• Assess technical depth of targets, distinguishing genuine IP from superficial solutions.
• Drive post‑acquisition integration focused on operational deployment rather than financial holding.
• Design and execute a hiring strategy for AI/robotics engineers, operators and researchers.
• Build relationships with leading research institutions and talent pools across Europe.

Required profile

• Proven track record in M&A, corporate development or venture investing, with exposure to AI, robotics or deep‑tech sectors.
• Strong technical literacy enabling independent evaluation of AI/robotics companies.
• Experience building or hiring technical teams.
• Understanding of construction, real‑estate or industrial operations is a significant advantage.
• Fluent English; French or another European language is a plus.
• Willingness to travel across Europe for target assessment and integration.
