Onboarding Analyst – Private Banking & Wealth Management

About the role

Barclays is seeking an Onboarding Analyst to join a dedicated team of five in Monaco. You will work closely with Private Banking and Wealth Management (PBWM) stakeholders, reviewing client onboarding cases from a documentary perspective and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assess incoming client cases, verify documented parties, and ensure completeness and accuracy of documentation.
• Collaborate with Financial Crime and Second Line of Defence teams to identify higher‑risk scenarios.
• Partner with bankers to resolve documentation gaps and manage complex ownership structures during account reviews and openings.
• Support day‑to‑day PBWM initiatives, including processing, reviewing, reporting, and issue resolution.
• Develop and implement procedures and controls to mitigate risks and maintain operational efficiency.
• Prepare reports and presentations on PBWM performance for senior internal stakeholders.
• Identify industry trends and recommend improvements to PBWM processes.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail with a methodical approach to document verification.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with bankers, compliance, and risk teams.
• Experience conducting Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and due‑diligence reviews.
• Background in compliance, financial crime, or a similar regulatory environment.
• Familiarity with Private Banking or Wealth Management client structures and higher‑risk profiles.
• Ability to contribute to process improvement initiatives and maintain a positive, patient attitude.
