Accounting Analyst – Credit Card & Air Cost Specialist

About the role

The Accounting Analyst plays a pivotal role within the Finance organization, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records. You will be responsible for credit‑card transaction accounting, air‑cost recognition, journal entries, and balance‑sheet reviews while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for all credit‑card transaction matters, managing relationships with merchants and payment providers.
• Perform monthly and quarterly credit‑card reconciliations, investigate and resolve reconciling items.
• Prepare and post journal entries in line with company policies and accounting standards.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing activities and maintain accurate supporting documentation.
• Execute quarterly SOX reconciliations and balance‑sheet account reviews, ensuring compliance with internal controls.
• Coordinate air‑cost recognition, reconcile related accounts, and prepare payments to airline and financial partners.

Required profile

• Detail‑oriented and analytical with strong problem‑solving abilities.
• Proactive approach to identifying and escalating accounting risks.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and internal control frameworks.

Required skills

• Experience with credit‑card accounting and reconciliation processes.
• Knowledge of SOX compliance and balance‑sheet review procedures.
• Familiarity with air‑cost accounting and related payment workflows.
