Deputy Head of Yacht Management Department

About the role

Camper & Nicholsons is seeking a Deputy Head of Yacht Management to support the Group Head in leading a growing superyacht fleet. The role blends hands‑on team leadership with the development of systems, tools and processes that drive operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily yacht management activities, including technical, fleet, ISM/ISPS, crew, and financial operations.
• Lead team meetings, track actions, and support recruitment and resource planning.
• Act as primary liaison between yacht management and other internal departments.
• Collaborate with the Tech Team to enhance yacht management software, reporting and data management.
• Improve internal processes, documentation and information flows for consistency and efficiency.
• Define, monitor and report on KPIs related to client satisfaction and team performance.
• Drive continuous‑improvement initiatives and support department scaling.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of experience in yacht management.
• Proven ability to manage and coordinate teams with a strong leadership focus.
• Excellent organisational skills and capability to handle day‑to‑day operations.
• Interest in systems, tools and process optimisation.
• Solid understanding of budgeting and financial follow‑up.
• Strong communication skills with clients, captains and internal stakeholders.
