Finance Business Partner

About the role

The Finance Business Partner (FBP) is a forward‑looking finance professional who uses financial analysis to drive profitable growth and support strategic decision‑making. Reporting to the Managing Director, the FBP acts as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and ensures financial requirements are met in line with local, statutory and Group policies.

Key responsibilities

• Build strong, trusted relationships with leadership, operations and supporting functions.
• Establish the FBP role as a "seat at the table" in all key local decisions, integrating financial considerations to identify opportunities and manage risk.
• Partner with the Managing Director to deliver and communicate office/region performance against targets.
• Analyse customer profitability, pricing and cost‑to‑serve across ships and vessels.
• Focus on Ship Management and Marine Services contributions, benchmark performance and drive improvement opportunities.
• Review and deliver financial requirements for remit management units and legal entities.
• Coordinate effectively with finance, commercial and operations teams to ensure alignment.

Required profile

• Trusted advisor to the Managing Director and senior management.
• Lead representative for Finance locally with accountability for financial delivery.
• Proactive in using historic data to inform forward‑looking discussions.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to influence commercial outcomes.
