Group Principal Rotating Equipment Engineer

About the role

The Group Principal Rotating Equipment Engineer leads the delivery of projects that improve operational efficiency, safety and sustainability within the oil and gas sector. Leveraging deep technical expertise, the role ensures high‑quality solutions and supports the organization’s strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop safe and quality solutions for projects and discipline requirements without guidance.
• Resolve complex technical issues to meet project and discipline deliverables.
• Mentor and consult less‑experienced engineers, promoting knowledge sharing across regional centers.
• Collaborate with Discipline Manager, Discipline Leads and engineering staff to drive continuous improvement in quality and efficiency.
• Stay current with industry developments, capture lessons learned, and apply best practices.
• Potentially act as Discipline Lead, Technical Expert or Engineering Method Authority for assigned scopes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in the oil & gas industry.
• Proven competence in concept development, detailed design, systems engineering, inspection, testing, commissioning, monitoring, package engineering, manufacturing, reliability, operability and safety of mechanical rotating equipment.
