IT Projects Director

About the role

SBM Offshore is seeking an IT Projects Director to lead the delivery of ICT and digital initiatives across the organization. This executive position reports to the Group IT&S Director and participates in key governance bodies, interacting regularly with C‑level leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a multi‑disciplinary team of 40+ professionals across several geographies.
• Manage IT and digital project budgets and contribute to the three‑year investment plan.
• Define and enforce standards, methodologies and tools for project management and development.
• Prioritise, frame and deliver digital and IT solutions aligned with business objectives.
• Oversee the portfolio of IT and digital solutions, including Low‑Code and ProDev activities.
• Drive governance of low‑code development and application development initiatives.
• Lead data‑driven and AI‑related digital projects.
• Coordinate internal governance bodies and communities for digital solutions.
• Collaborate with IT Operations, Enterprise Architecture, Data Management and Cybersecurity to ensure consistency.
• Support executive reporting for the IT&S Director.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technology‑related field (Computer Science preferred).
• 10+ years of professional experience in IT management, preferably with large‑scale project delivery.
• Proven experience leading multi‑disciplinary, multi‑geography teams.
• Strong track record of budgeting, investment decision‑making and strategic planning.
