Mapping Data Collection Driver

About the role

We are looking for reliable, safety‑focused drivers to support a large‑scale mapping data collection project. You will operate client‑provided vehicles equipped with specialised mapping equipment to capture high‑quality street‑level data across assigned zones while staying independently in the field.

Key responsibilities

• Safely drive client‑provided vans or trucks fitted with mapping and data‑collection devices.
• Collect, record and upload street‑level mapping data according to project guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of vehicles and equipment.
• Identify and secure safe parking locations, cover and safeguard the vehicle daily.
• Report incidents, traffic accidents or public interactions professionally.
• Coordinate daily tasks and issue resolution with the Camp Coordinator.
• Meet daily and weekly delivery targets in collaboration with project coordinators.
• Travel long distances and stay in “hotel mode” for extended assignments.
• Maintain accurate inventory and device logs in the designated system.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years driving experience, including at least 2 years in a professional setting (taxi, delivery, logistics, courier).
• Good command of English.
• Defensive, calm and safety‑oriented driving style, comfortable in high‑traffic conditions.
• Familiarity with local roads, neighborhoods and traffic patterns in the working country.
• Polite, professional and respectful demeanor when interacting with the public.
• Willingness to travel and stay on assignment for extended periods.

Required skills

• Operation of GPS navigation devices.
• Basic vehicle mechanical knowledge (e.g., changing tires, reading gauges).
• Handling of specialised mapping equipment and data‑logging applications.
