Senior Data Scientist

About the role

SBM Offshore is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join its Data and Information Management Team. You will design and deliver AI‑powered solutions that address complex operational challenges across the offshore energy sector.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, industrialise and maintain end‑to‑end data science and AI solutions using Azure‑based technologies.
• Build and evaluate advanced analytical models, including statistical methods, machine learning, deep learning, computer vision and large‑scale document processing pipelines.
• Contribute to Generative AI projects such as LLM‑based tools, document intelligence, copilots and automation agents while respecting enterprise AI governance.
• Ensure production readiness through performance testing, robustness checks and MLOps best practices.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to translate business needs into deployable analytics solutions.
• Produce clear reports and technical documentation for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Work in an agile environment using Azure DevOps, Git and cloud‑native services.

Required profile

• Master’s or Engineering degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics or a related quantitative field.
• Strong academic background in mathematics, statistics, machine learning and software engineering.
• Fluent spoken and written English.
• At least 5 years of experience as a Data Scientist or in a similar role.
