Senior Distributed Systems Engineer (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Distributed Systems Engineer to design and build large‑scale data processing components. You will work remotely with a global team that delivers critical data platform technology to leading enterprises.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement distributed system components in Java or Scala for high‑volume data pipelines.
• Develop and maintain stream and batch processing infrastructure ensuring reliability and efficiency.
• Apply fault‑tolerance, consistency, and throughput principles to solve production challenges.
• Diagnose and resolve JVM performance bottlenecks in real‑time.
• Collaborate with data and platform engineering teams to deliver end‑to‑end solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, set engineering standards, and contribute to technical discussions.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional IT experience.
• 3+ years building distributed systems with Java or Scala as the primary language.
• Strong understanding of distributed data processing design and operation.
• Experience with stream or batch processing frameworks and large‑scale pipeline infrastructure.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
