Senior Quality Engineer (Java) – Remote

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Quality Engineer who writes Java and builds reliable test automation for distributed, high‑complexity backend environments. You will design frameworks, integrate quality into CI/CD pipelines, and help ensure release confidence for a data platform used by enterprise customers worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Java‑based test automation frameworks covering functional, integration, and end‑to‑end testing.
• Define and implement test strategies that address failure modes of distributed backend systems.
• Maintain and improve test stages within CI/CD pipelines.
• Champion quality‑engineering practices across the team.
• Monitor and report on test coverage and release confidence metrics.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in IT roles.
• 3+ years of experience using Java as the primary language in quality or test engineering.
• Solid experience with automated testing frameworks such as JUnit or TestNG.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integration of test automation into release workflows.
• Experience with defect diagnosis and regression testing.
• Understanding of distributed systems and related testing challenges.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
