Senior Software Engineer in Test (Java) – Remote

About the role

BairesDev is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Test with strong Java expertise to ensure the reliability of distributed backend systems serving enterprise customers worldwide. You will design and maintain automated testing frameworks that protect critical data flows before they reach production.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop automated test frameworks and suites in Java for distributed backend systems.
• Build and execute integration and end‑to‑end test coverage across multi‑component platform environments.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipeline quality gates and release readiness.
• Collaborate with developers to define testability requirements.
• Track and report on test coverage and release quality metrics.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in IT roles.
• 5+ years of professional experience using Java as the primary programming language.
• Deep knowledge of automated testing frameworks such as JUnit or TestNG.
• Hands‑on experience with CI/CD pipelines and release quality processes.
• Proven ability to diagnose defects and perform regression testing in distributed systems.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
