Finance Manager – French Speaking (Relocate to Africa)

About the role

As Finance Manager you will be based in Africa and lead OBT’s financial operations across its shipping and logistics business. You will ensure accurate reporting, robust controls and provide financial insight to support growth and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports for management and stakeholders.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis processes.
• Manage cash flow, working capital, treasury activities, banking relationships and FX exposure.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards (IFRS or OHADA), tax regulations and internal policies.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors and regulators.
• Provide financial insights and decision support to operational and commercial teams.
• Strengthen internal controls, financial processes and reporting systems.
• Build, lead and develop a high‑performing finance team.
• Support strategic initiatives, business planning and investment analysis.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of finance or accounting experience, preferably in logistics, shipping or multi‑entity international businesses.
• Professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, CA or equivalent is preferred.
• Proven leadership experience, including supervising and mentoring finance staff.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Willingness to relocate to Africa and work on‑site.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or equivalent.
