Hydrodynamics Engineer Internship

About the role
This 6‑month internship in Monaco focuses on mooring system fatigue analyses for turret‑moored projects. You will work within the Hydrodynamics department to evaluate and improve industry‑recognized fatigue assessment methods.
Key responsibilities
- Review and summarise DNV‑OS‑E301 requirements and the importance sampling method, comparing it with other accepted approaches.
- Apply importance sampling to a representative turret‑moored project and benchmark results against alternative methods.
- Assess suitability of the method for out‑of‑plane bending analyses and potential extension to turret‑load analyses.
- Present findings and recommendations to the Hydrodynamics team.
Required profile
- Engineering student in 2nd or 3rd year of an engineering school.
- Prior exposure to offshore industry or mooring concepts is a plus.
- Strong analytical mindset and ability to perform numerical analyses.
Required skills
- Python programming for data handling and clustering.
- Experience with industry‑recognised software such as Ariane and Orcaflex.
