Intern / R&D Analytical Chemist

About the role

Coty is recruiting an R&D Analytical Chemist Intern starting in January 2027 for a 6-month placement. The intern develops broad analytical expertise across multiple techniques and contributes to projects supporting global beauty brands. The trainee works in the Analytical Laboratory alongside R&D, Quality Control, Product Development, Microbiology and external laboratories.

Key responsibilities

• Support the development, optimization and execution of analytical methods for cosmetic products and raw materials
• Perform analyses on raw materials, finished products and other samples using techniques such as HPLC, UPLC, GC and ED-XRF
• Process and interpret analytical data
• Take part in method validation and transfer studies
• Contribute to technical investigations when results are non-compliant or out of specification
• Draft protocols, test reports and related technical documentation
• Present results during project follow-up meetings

Required profile

• Engineering or Master's student (Bac+5) in Analytical Chemistry or a related field
• Looking for a final-year internship in skin biology or life sciences
• Some initial laboratory experience (liquid and/or gas chromatography)
• Able to read and understand English scientific content
• Curious, rigorous and eager to learn, in a fast-paced, international environment
