IT Project Management Lead

About the role

As an IT Project Management Lead, you will lead the overall planning, coordination, and execution of projects within a portfolio, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives. You will oversee project teams, manage resources, and mitigate risks to deliver successful outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Be the focal point of a Portfolio Manager and maintain full visibility on the project portfolio.
• Lead and manage a team of project managers to ensure successful execution of IT projects, aligning with organizational goals, capacity, and strategies.
• Oversee the development and implementation of project management methodologies, ensuring consistency and best practices across all projects.
• Coordinate with cross‑functional teams, including IT, business stakeholders, and external vendors, to achieve milestones and deliverables on time and within budget.
• Monitor project progress, manage risks, and implement corrective actions to address issues or delays.
• Provide regular project status updates to senior management and stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment with business objectives.
• Mentor and coach project engineers and managers, enhancing their skills in planning, execution, and risk management.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the project management team, driving process enhancements and innovation.
• Ensure all projects comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies throughout their lifecycle.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration or a related field; certifications such as PMP, ITIL or PRINCE2 are preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT project management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role managing multiple projects.
• Proven experience leading IT projects from initiation to completion, including scope management, scheduling, budgeting, and risk assessment.
• Experience managing and coordinating cross‑functional teams, including IT staff, business stakeholders, and external vendors.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with experience reporting project status to senior management and stakeholders.
