IT Projects Director

About the role

The IT Projects Director leads the delivery of ICT and digital initiatives across SBM Offshore, overseeing infrastructure, tools, and business solutions. Reporting to the Group IT&S Director, the role participates in senior governance bodies and interacts regularly with C‑level executives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a multi‑disciplinary team of 40+ staff across several geographies.
• Manage IT and digital project budgets and contribute to the three‑year strategic plan.
• Define and enforce standards, methodologies and tools for project management and development.
• Prioritise, frame and deliver digital and IT solutions aligned with business objectives.
• Govern low‑code and professional development activities and drive AI‑related, data‑driven initiatives.
• Coordinate internal governance bodies and collaborate with IT Operations, Architecture, Data Management and Cybersecurity.

Required profile

• 10+ years of professional experience in IT management, preferably within complex industries.
• 10+ years of people‑management experience leading cross‑functional, multidisciplinary teams.
• Proven track record of large‑scale IT transformations and enterprise‑wide solution delivery.
• Experience designing and monitoring strategic KPIs and performance frameworks.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of project management and development frameworks.
• Experience with low‑code platforms and professional application development.
• Familiarity with AI, digital, and data‑driven initiatives.
