Legal Counsel

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to manage all in‑house legal matters for our rapidly expanding shipping and maritime business. The role will involve overseeing commercial contracts, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting cross‑border activities. You will work closely with operational teams to mitigate legal risks and ensure smooth execution of international transactions. The position also involves advising senior management on corporate governance and compliance matters.

Key responsibilities

• Review, prepare and manage commercial contracts, agreements and related legal documentation.
• Draft and review confidentiality, supplier and client agreements.
• Provide administrative and legal support for cross‑border business activities.
• Maintain awareness of international legal considerations relevant to operations.
• Assist with KYC documentation, due‑diligence requests and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain confidential legal files securely and ensure proper documentation storage.
• Support the company in managing legal and regulatory obligations.
• Assist with maintaining corporate records across multiple entities.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of legal experience, preferably with EU exposure.
• Experience in maritime, shipping or charter law is a plus.
• Law degree (LL.B. or equivalent).
