Nutanix Engineer / Networking IT Support Engineer (Monaco)

About the role

An experienced Nutanix Engineer / Networking IT Support Engineer is sought to provide break-and-fix support for enterprise infrastructure. This is a freelance, on-call position based in Monaco covering the city, with low priority. The role covers hardware, network and infrastructure incidents, and requires strong technical expertise in Nutanix and networking, a valid CCNA certification and fluent English.

Key responsibilities

• Provide onsite and remote break-and-fix support for networking and infrastructure incidents.
• Deploy, configure and manage Nutanix HCI environments (AOS, AHV, Prism).
• Perform system upgrades, patching and lifecycle management.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, virtualization and network issues, including TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS and DHCP.
• Implement and support backup and disaster recovery solutions.
• Respond to critical incidents and service requests within agreed response times.
• Collaborate with global and regional teams on infrastructure and cloud projects.
• Maintain technical documentation, incident reports and service records.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in infrastructure, virtualization, networking or IT support engineering.
• Proven break-and-fix support experience in enterprise environments.
• Valid ID/passport, valid work permit and CCNA certification.
• Fluent English and local communication skills.

Required skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Nutanix (AOS, AHV, Prism).
• Experience supporting VMware and/or Hyper-V environments.
• Networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, routing and switching.
• Backup and disaster recovery solutions.
• PowerShell and/or Python scripting is advantageous.
• Nutanix certification, AWS/Azure/GCP experience and cloud platform experience are preferred.
