Operations HSSE Manager

About the role

SBM Offshore is seeking an Operations HSSE Manager to lead health, safety, security and environmental initiatives across its offshore projects. You will be responsible for preventing risks to personnel, assets, the environment and the company’s reputation while ensuring compliance with all applicable standards and regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain robust HSSE policies aligned with industry regulations and company standards.
• Conduct risk assessments for all operational activities and enforce effective control measures.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and drive sustainability strategies.
• Lead investigations of incidents and near‑misses, identify root causes and oversee corrective actions.
• Monitor HSSE performance metrics, analyse trends and report to senior management.
• Collaborate with internal teams, regulators and external stakeholders to align HSSE objectives.
• Lead and develop a team of HSSE leads and engineers, providing growth opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 10 years of HSSE experience in offshore or heavy‑industry environments.
• Proven track record of driving safety culture and continuous improvement.
