Project Procurement Lead

About the role

As a Project Procurement Lead at SBM Offshore, you will oversee procurement and supply‑chain activities for specific project packages, ensuring timely, cost‑effective, and high‑quality delivery of equipment and materials. You will manage supplier relationships, coordinate with engineering and project teams, and negotiate contracts to meet specifications and budget requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop procurement strategy based on lessons learned and input from Category Managers.
• Set up tendering strategy for purchase requests together with Buyer and Category Manager.
• Lead commercial and contractual negotiations, coordinating all required functions.
• Manage supplier relationships to foster collaboration, address issues proactively, and drive performance improvements.
• Oversee vendor interface during purchase order execution to align with project priorities.
• Provide continuous feedback on vendor performance to Category Managers and support PO execution issues.
• Report progress to the Project Procurement Manager and monitor PO execution, raising alerts for schedule, cost, quality, or contract risks.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the supply‑chain process.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven track record managing supply‑chain packages for complex offshore, onshore, or subsea projects.
• Strong background in contract management and high‑value technical negotiations.
• Experience with ERP systems and supply‑chain management software.
• Familiarity with oil and gas procurement standards and compliance requirements.
• Demonstrated project‑management skills and ability to coordinate cross‑functional teams under pressure.
