Senior Data Architect

About the role

As a Senior Data Architect at SBM Offshore you will lead the design and implementation of advanced data architectures that support the company’s deep‑water offshore energy solutions. You will ensure that data systems are scalable, secure and aligned with business objectives while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement robust data architectures, data models, integration pipelines and metadata definitions.
• Lead data governance initiatives to guarantee data quality, security and regulatory compliance.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior data architects and engineers.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts and IT teams to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
• Forecast resource needs, track project progress and report impact to senior leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in data architecture with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Proven track record of delivering data architecture strategies, data modeling, integration and governance.
• Fluent English communication skills.
