Senior Operations Cost Controller

About the role

The Senior Operations Cost Controller is responsible for supervising, managing and monitoring overall project finances, ensuring that projects stay within budget across the full scope. The role delivers accurate financial reporting and analysis at various levels of the cost breakdown structure, supporting decision‑making through effective cost control, risk assessment and financial forecasting.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the end‑to‑end cost control processes for assigned projects.
• Monitor project budgets, set up budget structures, forecast future financial performance and analyse variances to keep projects financially viable.
• Collaborate with project managers, finance teams and other stakeholders, constructively challenging them to ensure accurate reporting and compliance with company policies.
• Provide timely financial insights and risk assessments to support strategic project decisions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field; professional certification (CPA, CMA) is a plus.
• 5–10 years of experience in project cost control, financial analysis or a similar role, preferably within Oil & Gas or large‑scale infrastructure projects.
