Senior Training and Capacity Development Expert

About the role

NTU International is seeking a Senior Training and Capacity Development Expert to support institutional learning, professional training programmes, and technical capacity‑building initiatives for the implementation of Uzbekistan’s Agri‑Food Development Strategy 2020‑2030.

Key responsibilities

• Support design and implementation of training and institutional capacity development programmes related to agri‑food sector reforms.
• Conduct training needs assessments and institutional capacity analyses for ministries and sector institutions.
• Develop training curricula, manuals, toolkits, and technical learning materials.
• Support Training of Trainers (ToT) programmes, institutional learning initiatives, and professional development activities.
• Advise public institutions on adult learning methodologies, organisational learning systems, and knowledge management approaches.
• Organise and deliver workshops, seminars, study visits, and technical exchange activities.
• Contribute to the development of e‑learning systems, digital training tools, and blended learning approaches.
• Coordinate with ministries, universities, training centres, research institutions, and development partners.
• Integrate gender equality, youth participation, climate‑smart agriculture, and sustainability considerations into training programmes.
• Support monitoring, reporting, and evaluation of training and institutional strengthening activities.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in education, organisational development, agricultural sciences, rural development, public administration or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in training, institutional development, capacity‑building or organisational learning programmes.
• Proven experience on agricultural, governance or development projects in developing or transition economies.
• Experience in international development cooperation and donor‑funded programmes.
• At least 7 years designing and implementing training and capacity development programmes, including curriculum development and ToT.
