Global Process Lead

About the role

The Global Process Lead will drive safe, efficient and reliable operation of process systems across SBM Offshore’s FPSO units. You will lead engineering initiatives that optimise production, reduce emissions and support the company’s True Blue Transition strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee process engineering activities to ensure optimal performance and reliability of production systems.
• Develop and implement process optimisation strategies to increase efficiency, cut operational costs and lower emissions.
• Lead troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis for complex process issues, delivering technical solutions.
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance and project engineering teams to integrate best practices.
• Review and approve process designs and modifications, ensuring compliance with safety, environmental and regulatory standards.
• Mentor junior engineers and technical staff, fostering knowledge sharing.
• Manage process‑related projects from concept through execution, meeting time, budget and quality targets.
• Prepare and present technical reports, performance metrics and recommendations to senior management.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of management systems, procedures and operating manuals.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Process Engineering or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
• 12+ years of experience in process engineering within the oil and gas industry, including at least 5 years in operations.
