Global Operations Excellence Project Engineer

About the role

As a Global Operations Excellence Project Engineer you will plan, coordinate and oversee project activities to ensure successful execution across SBM Offshore’s offshore assets. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to meet project objectives while adhering to time and budget constraints.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the project team, ensuring the right skills and expertise are in place.
• Define project structure, assign roles and foster collaboration.
• Manage communication and reporting within the team and with stakeholders.
• Develop and implement change management plans.
• Organise, manage and report on tasks to ensure timely progress.
• Facilitate effective communication between project members.
• Delegate tasks appropriately while maintaining control.
• Support the Project Management Team in aligning with project objectives.
• Coordinate issue resolution and enforce Management of Change processes.
• Report key updates, implement corrective actions and resolve problems promptly.
• Represent the project internally and externally when required.
• Develop and implement roll‑out plans in coordination with shore‑bases and offshore units.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Engineering, Project Management or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in project‑related activities, preferably in the oil & gas industry.
• Proficiency with project management software and engineering tools.
• Strong competencies in value creation, continuous improvement, digital savvy, business acumen, third‑party relationship management, contract management, change management, project control, project administration and risk management.
