IT Network Specialist

About the role

SBM Offshore is seeking an IT Network Specialist to ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of its global network infrastructure. You will design, implement, and maintain LAN, WAN, and wireless solutions that support the company’s deepwater ocean infrastructure operations.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and maintain LAN, WAN, and wireless networks across multiple sites.
• Deploy and manage network security controls such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and access‑control policies.
• Monitor network performance, analyze traffic patterns, and conduct regular audits to resolve bottlenecks and security vulnerabilities.
• Troubleshoot connectivity, routing, and configuration issues to minimise downtime.
• Maintain up‑to‑date network diagrams, configuration documentation, and performance reports.
• Coordinate with vendors, service providers, and contractors for procurement, installation, and maintenance of network hardware and software.
• Perform capacity planning and recommend upgrades to meet future business needs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or CISSP are preferred.
• Strong proficiency in English for communication and documentation.
