IT Solutions Quality Team Lead

About the role

As the IT Solutions Quality Team Lead at SBM Offshore, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of software quality across the company’s offshore energy solutions. You will lead a team of quality engineers, act as the main liaison for quality matters, and drive continuous improvement in testing and quality processes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of quality engineers to align software quality assurance and control with business goals.
• Define and implement the software quality strategy, testing policies, and quality standards.
• Prioritise and assign quality activities to balance workload, coverage, and roadmap commitments.
• Oversee structured test planning, quality practices, and release readiness.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to confirm deliverables meet quality expectations.
• Establish quality gates and automated checkpoints to prevent low‑quality code from advancing.
• Develop team capability through coaching, feedback, and knowledge sharing.
• Monitor quality risks, metrics, and improvement opportunities to enhance reliability, security, and maintainability.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications such as ISTQB or Certified Manager of Software Quality (CMSQ).
• Minimum 7 years of experience in software quality assurance, testing, or quality engineering.
• At least 3 years in a leadership role overseeing quality practices across multiple projects.
• Fluent written and verbal English with strong communication skills.
