Operations Director

About the role

The Operations Director will lead operational performance and execution across V.Group’s fleet cells in the Monaco region, ensuring compliance with technical, safety, environmental and quality standards while delivering superior service to clients.

Key responsibilities

• Drive operational performance and ensure consistent application of V.Group’s Safety & Quality Management System (VMS) across the managed fleet.
• Lead transformation of the fleet‑cell model through Centres of Excellence, technology, data analytics and new ways of working.
• Oversee compliance with local, national and international statutory, legal, HSEQ and environmental regulations.
• Develop and maintain proactive client relationships, improve service levels, and manage customer satisfaction metrics such as NPS.
• Investigate client complaints, implement corrective actions and communicate outcomes to senior management and clients.
• Ensure all management processes, procedures and systems are executed to the required standards.
• Manage the annual budget process for the fleet, monitor performance against targets and drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in ship management, marine services or a related maritime sector.
• Strong knowledge of safety, quality, HSEQ and environmental legislation applicable to vessel operations.
• Demonstrated ability to drive operational transformation and implement technology‑enabled solutions.
• Excellent client‑facing skills with a track record of improving service delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Experience managing budgets, financial performance and reporting within a complex operational environment.
