Quality Excellence Engineer

About the role

This 12‑month position supports quality assurance, audit delivery, continuous improvement and investigations within a technically demanding oil and gas engineering environment. Reporting to the Quality Excellence Manager, the engineer will help strengthen quality performance, ensure compliance and contribute quality input during early project and tender stages.

Key responsibilities

• Review quality assurance documentation for supplier and yard qualifications, ensuring accuracy and alignment with standards.
• Plan and execute internal, certification and qualification audits, and follow up corrective actions to closure.
• Support independent quality investigations, including non‑conformance analysis, root‑cause identification and corrective action development.
• Monitor and analyse quality performance, providing timely reports and status updates.
• Contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives that enhance departmental efficiency and compliance.
• Integrate quality assurance requirements into tenders and proposal documentation.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to address quality matters and promote excellence.
• Assist with awareness and training activities to reinforce quality processes and high standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, science or a related quality discipline.
• Certified ISO 9001 Lead Auditor or equivalent quality‑management‑system auditing certification.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, including senior‑level responsibilities.
• Strong project experience with solid understanding of project management fundamentals, engineering principles, lifecycle assurance and construction processes.
