Retail Manager – Luxury Jewellery Boutique

About the role

The Retail Manager will support the daily operations of the Van Cal boutique located in the Fairmont Monte‑Carlo, with a primary focus on driving sales and delivering a highly personalised luxury client experience. Working closely with the Head of Retail, the role combines client‑facing storytelling with commercial execution.

Key responsibilities

• Drive individual sales performance and contribute to store targets and KPIs.
• Deliver a refined, personalised client journey from first contact through post‑purchase follow‑up.
• Present collections confidently through storytelling, product knowledge and emotional connection.
• Support high‑value sales, private appointments and High Jewellery viewings.
• Build and nurture long‑term client relationships, encouraging repeat business and loyalty.
• Maintain and develop a personal client book, following up to strengthen relationships and drive retention.
• Assist VIP client experiences with discretion, professionalism and attention to detail.
• Convert international hotel guests into long‑term collectors.
• Assist with daily opening and closing procedures, ensuring security and operational excellence.
• Handle inventory with precision, respecting fine jewellery protocols.
• Maintain impeccable store standards, visual merchandising and overall brand environment.
• Support stock organization, replenishment and reporting.
• Help execute pop‑ups and in‑store events, preparing space, product displays and client hosting.
• Collaborate with the Head of Retail and wider team to achieve sales and service excellence.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of retail or client‑facing experience, preferably in a luxury or premium environment.
• Strong interest in sales and client relationship building.
• Natural confidence in engaging with clients and closing sales.
• Excellent communication skills in English and French.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Understanding of stock management and sales systems.
