Compliance Officer – Part‑time, Remote possible (Monaco)

About the role

Wealth Effect Management (WEM) is expanding its Monaco operations and seeks an experienced Compliance Officer for a flexible, part‑time role. The position offers 10‑20 hours per week with the possibility of remote work, allowing a senior compliance professional to contribute to the firm’s regulatory and internal control framework.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Monaco’s regulatory requirements for asset management and financial services.
• Maintain and update internal compliance policies, procedures, and controls.
• Support AML/CFT processes, including client onboarding, KYC, due diligence, and ongoing monitoring.
• Advise management on regulatory obligations, compliance risks, and governance matters.
• Monitor regulatory developments and prepare compliance reports and documentation.
• Liaise with regulators, external advisers, auditors, and service providers as needed.
• Assist with internal training, periodic reviews, audits, and risk assessments.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in compliance, regulatory, AML/CFT, or internal control functions.
• Background in asset management, wealth management, private banking, or related financial services.
• Strong knowledge of Monaco’s financial regulatory environment.
• Holding the mandatory compliance certification/authorisation for Monaco.
• Professional proficiency in English and French.
