Contract Manager – Operations

About the role

The Contract Manager – Operations will safeguard and enhance long‑term value across the full operations lifecycle of SBM Offshore assets. You will lead contract governance, performance monitoring and risk management while collaborating with senior stakeholders worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain robust contract and commercial strategies for each asset in close collaboration with Operations Directors and OSMs.
• Support and validate execution of asset business plans and ensure alignment of contractual strategies across all lifecycle phases.
• Lead contractual aspects of claims and dispute resolution in coordination with Legal.
• Manage contract administration, documentation and governance processes; negotiate amendments, change orders and other agreements.
• Identify and drive value‑creation opportunities together with OSMs.
• Own senior‑level client and partner relationships from a contractual and commercial perspective; define and execute stakeholder management strategies.
• Identify, assess and manage contractual risks, ensuring clear communication and mitigation actions.
• Lead the Operations Contract Management team, providing guidance to Operations and senior leadership.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain to define and optimise subcontracting strategies.

Required profile

• University degree or MBA in a relevant discipline.
• Proven experience in contract management within operations or offshore energy sectors.
• Demonstrated leadership ability to manage a contract management team.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with senior‑level clients and partners.
