Data Architecture Lead – Microsoft Fabric

About the role

SBM Offshore is seeking a Data Architecture Lead to own the definition and delivery of its enterprise data and analytics platform on the Microsoft stack. You will drive the migration from Azure Synapse to Microsoft Fabric, shaping the target architecture and ensuring a production‑grade, enterprise‑wide solution.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture and Data & Information Management teams to design the target solution architecture for the Microsoft‑based analytics platform.
• Lead the migration from Azure Synapse to Microsoft Fabric, defining implementation patterns and ensuring a smooth transition.
• Provide technical leadership to internal teams and external vendors, maintaining architectural consistency and delivery quality.
• Work with Data Engineers, Data Architects and business stakeholders to deliver high‑value use cases on Microsoft Fabric.
• Define and continuously optimise governance, performance and operating models for the platform.

Required profile

• Experience guiding large‑scale data platform implementations and migrations.
• Ability to influence technical decisions without formal people‑management responsibilities.
