Insurance Accounting Assistant

About the role

The Insurance Accounting Assistant will manage administrative, accounting and finance tasks for the Insurance Department of a global ship management leader. The role supports credit control, invoicing, premium settlement and monthly reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end credit control, cash receivables and debt reviews across multiple insurance entities.
• Coordinate invoicing with operations teams, generate customer statements and maintain premium records per vessel.
• Oversee insurance premium settlements, liaise with reinsurance brokers and handle claim accounting.
• Assist in preparing monthly management accounts, vessel movement KPI files and weekly cash‑flow reports.
• Support audits, budget creation and other finance manager tasks as required.

Required skills

• Good Excel skills.
• Experience using Risk Pro for cash allocation.
