Investment Analyst – Private Equity Expert (Remote)

About the role

Mercor is seeking a contract Investment Analyst with private‑equity expertise to support AI research lab investments. This remote position offers a competitive hourly rate and flexible weekly commitment.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate and refine financial models to improve AI model outputs.
• Conduct market sizing and total addressable market (TAM) analysis aligned with investment strategies.
• Prepare comprehensive investment summaries and memoranda for decision‑makers.
• Collaborate on Confidential Information Memorandum (CIM) creation and due‑diligence processes.
• Process NDA and other legal documents efficiently to maintain deal flow.
• Source potential investment opportunities and provide strategic recommendations.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of private‑equity experience at a top‑tier firm.
• Proven ability to build and analyze financial models and market sizing studies.
• Experience drafting investment summaries, memos, and CIMs.
• Comfort handling NDA and legal documentation.
• Demonstrated skill in sourcing and evaluating deal opportunities.
