About the role

Mercor is seeking an Investment Research Analyst to support its AI research labs. This remote contract position focuses on evaluating hedge‑fund strategies and enhancing AI‑generated financial content.

Key responsibilities

Assess long/short equity hedge‑fund strategies to improve AI model training.
Develop and review financial models that feed into AI‑generated research.
Conduct market sizing and total addressable market (TAM) analyses for AI research teams.
Analyze investment research memos and summaries for AI model evaluation.
Predict earnings outcomes and refine AI model outputs accordingly.
Work independently and asynchronously, meeting weekly deadlines.

Required profile

Minimum 2 years of experience at top hedge funds.
Proven experience in financial modeling, market sizing/TAM analysis, or investment research.
Ability to work remotely with a commitment of 10+ hours per week.
