Junior Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Junior Accountant to support our finance team in an international organisation. The role involves day‑to‑day financial operations, accurate record‑keeping, and assisting with reporting and closing activities.

Key responsibilities

• Managing payments through online banking tools
• Recording and processing invoices
• Performing bank account reconciliations
• Reconciling customer and supplier account statements
• Monitoring petty cash balances and related reconciliations
• Reviewing and following up on employee expense claims
• Supporting period‑end closing activities, including accruals, prepayments, and balance revaluations
• Assisting the team in meeting financial reporting deadlines
• Preparing and gathering supporting documentation required for external audits

Required profile

• Previous exposure (internship or apprenticeship) to accounting or finance functions is beneficial
• Academic background in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related discipline
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
• Good command of standard office and productivity tools
• Comfortable using digital systems and quick to adapt to new software
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
• Organised, reliable and proactive approach
• Knowledge of accounting or ERP systems is considered an asset
