Junior Procurement Buyer – Fuel & Lubricants

About the role

The Junior Procurement Buyer will support the acquisition of fuel, lubricants, and marine technical items for the Ritz‑Carlton Yacht Collection fleet. Working from the Monaco office, you will ensure timely, cost‑effective deliveries while complying with maritime regulations and the brand’s Gold Standards.

Key responsibilities

• Process vessel requests, RFQs, purchase orders and invoices for fuel, lubricants, grease, additives and related marine items.
• Coordinate with suppliers, brokers and vessels to guarantee correct bunker deliveries and resolve any delivery issues.
• Maintain accurate documentation in ShipSure and MXP systems and support the Fuel Management System.
• Support sourcing of alternative suppliers, evaluate bids, and recommend commercial decisions.
• Monitor supplier performance through KPIs and assist in market analysis for cost‑saving opportunities.
• Contribute to green fuel initiatives, including bio‑fuels such as HVO, Bio LNG and Bio MGO.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, supply‑chain management or related field.
• 1–2 years of procurement or supply‑chain experience, preferably in maritime fuel or technical items.
• Strong analytical, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Fluent English; French or Italian is a plus.

Required skills

• Knowledge of maritime regulations (ISO, MARPOL) and green‑fuel standards.
• Experience with procurement software and ERP systems (e.g., ShipSure, MXP).
• Ability to conduct price comparisons, bid evaluations and commercial analyses.
• Basic contract negotiation and supplier‑management capabilities.
