Logistics Trainee – International Shipments

About the role

The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection is looking for a Logistics Trainee to join its Global Logistics team. The role supports the Logistics Specialist with the daily coordination and follow-up of international shipments, from collection through final delivery, and involves tracking milestones, ETDs, ETAs, costs and status updates in the ERP system. It is a hands-on traineeship offering practical experience with freight forwarders, ERP data and logistics reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and follow up international shipments, monitor them from collection to delivery and escalate delays or issues to the Logistics Specialist
• Assist with air, ocean, road and courier shipments, including shipping and customs documentation
• Support tracking of fleet landing goods, warehouse activities, inventory, newbuild and dry dock shipments
• Maintain shipment records, trackers and documentation, and support logistics reporting, KPIs, freight costs and transit times
• Contribute to Excel-based data analysis and reconciliation of logistics costs, and help keep ERP data accurate
• Represent the Logistics team professionally and discreetly, and stay calm and solution-oriented under pressure

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, International Business, Business Administration, Transportation, Maritime Studies, Hospitality Management or a related field
• Previous logistics experience is not required; internships, academic projects, hospitality experience or international exposure are an advantage
• Fluent written and spoken English is mandatory; French, Italian and/or Spanish is a strong advantage
• Strong attention to detail, organization, communication skills and ability to work in a multicultural environment

Required skills

• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Confidence in learning ERP systems
• Professional presentation suitable for an ultra-luxury environment
