Quality Excellence Manager

About the role

As a Quality Excellence Manager at SBM Offshore, you will lead quality assurance activities across yard and supplier qualification, internal and external audits, and critical investigations. Reporting to the Global Quality Manager, you will drive continuous improvement and ensure compliance with the GEMS framework while supporting project tenders and performance monitoring.

Key responsibilities

• Review and approve quality assurance documentation for supplier and yard qualifications, ensuring accuracy and standards compliance.
• Plan, coordinate and execute internal, certification and qualification audits within the GRS, managing audit documentation and corrective actions.
• Monitor audit status, findings and ensure timely closure of corrective measures.
• Identify, lead and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance departmental performance and efficiency.
• Define and track KPIs for excellence activities, analysing results to drive efficiency.
• Lead GEMS compliance efforts and related enhancement activities.
• Conduct independent quality investigations outside of project activities, providing thorough analysis and resolution.
• Report findings, issues and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven experience in quality assurance within an industrial or engineering environment.
• Strong knowledge of audit processes and supplier/yard qualification procedures.
• Familiarity with GEMS compliance and performance monitoring.
• Ability to lead investigations and present findings to senior leadership.
