Remote Software Engineer – AI Evaluation Contractor

About the role

We are looking for a Remote Software Engineer to serve as a Software Engineering evaluator for Turing. In this contractor role you will create and refine datasets that train and benchmark large language models, working closely with AI researchers and cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Curate and create code examples in Python, JavaScript (including ReactJS), C/C++, Java, Rust and Go for AI model training.
• Evaluate and improve AI‑generated code for efficiency, scalability and reliability.
• Collaborate with researchers and product teams to enhance AI‑driven coding solutions and meet industry performance benchmarks.
• Build verification agents that assess code quality and detect error patterns.
• Design automated verification mechanisms for software engineering tasks across the development lifecycle.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong background in building full‑stack, production‑grade applications.
• Deep understanding of software architecture, design, debugging and code quality assessment.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills for clear evaluation rationales.
• Ability to work 10–40 hours per week with partial PST overlap.
• Based in the United States, Canada or a Western European country.
